About Hazel

Adoption Fee: $125
Chesapeake Bay Retriever / Lab
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Hazel is a gorgeous girl ready to find her forever home! Hazel is around 5 years old a we are guessing to be a Retriever mix, but we cannot guarantee the breed of any of our dogs. She currently weighs 67 pounds, but is on the shorter side of the retriever spectrum. Hazel was an owner surrender to CHS along with her other fury siblings. This was due to no fault of her own, but rather other human problems. Being uprooted and away from the home she knew all of her life has defiantly thrown her off. She does have some separation anxiety, but has been working through it with exercise and CBD oil. She is defiantly a loyal companion who would enjoy a family who is home most of the day. Olive's foster describes her as, 'Hazel is like your favorite grandma. She wants to be around you all the time with lots of love to give. She never wants you to leave! She is very respectful of furniture and won't hop on without an invite. She enjoys squeaky toys and lots of pets. Her favorite thing to do is be outside! She would do best in a house with a yard she could hang out in, especially if it has a doggy door to go in and out.' Hazel is potty trained, but not quite crate trained. She has done good with cats and other dogs smaller than her. She has not yet been around kids, but we believe she would do best in a family with a stay at home parent or a retired couple. She is UTD on vaccines, spayed, UTD on preventatives and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $125. The application is here: https://forms.gle/Scpyw81TNDLhUQ5G7.
