Hi, my name is MAGGIE - ID#A4372848. I am a spayed female, white and brown Labrador Retriever mix, and I weigh about 33 lbs. The shelter staff think I am about 1 year and 2 months old, and I have been at the shelter since Jan. 25, 2020. Here is a brief history that we have on Maggie: 1/25/2020 INTAKE ASSESSMENT K9 allowed vaccines with light restraint. K9 sought attention from staff. K9 walked to kennel. 1/26/2020 EVALUATION Entered yard excited, started playing. Remained social throughout. 02/20/20 - ADOPTED 2/21/2020 Bit adopter when putting down food. Returned. 2/22/2020 INTAKE ASSESSMENT K9 allowed vaccines with light restraint. K9 sought attention and allowed petting. K9 had tail wagging. K9 walked to kennel. 3/3/2020 EVALUATION Excited on the leash and while collaring. Quick entrance; excited greeting. Friendly with the yard lead. High energy; engaged in very rough and rambunctious play. Maggie has tested positive for heartworm. This cannot be treated at the shelter, so her only hope is to be adopted and treated at a family vet. Please consider saving this sweet girl before it is too late.
