About McClain

German Shepherd / Lab
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

*** ADOPTION PENDING *** McClain is a 10 lb. Shepherd/Lab mix with a brownish red coat and a black face and tail. This boy is simply hilarious and makes the funniest noises when he plays. If you talk to him, he will talk back to you (even if sometimes he seems like he wants to know why the crazy human is talking to him). McClain plays well with his siblings and the other dogs in his foster home and can often be found sitting on the front paws of his larger canine foster siblings and giving them kisses. He loves running in the yard and can often be found following his foster mom around the yard, especially while she is doing yard work. This angel is deliciously snuggly and adores belly rubs from his people. McClain is one of McKenna's MC's and was born on 01/06/20 and raised in foster care, so he is very well socialized with people and other dogs. He is almost ready to go to his forever home, so we are now accepting applications for him. We anticipate McClain will be between 50-70 lbs when fully grown. This boy is in the developmental stage of exploring the world with his mouth and will also be teething with sharp teeth for quite some time to come. Please do not apply if you have children under age 8 or, if they are older, who will not be able to tolerate this. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here:(https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). Please read about the adoption process (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. All fields on the application must be completed in order for our volunteers to process it (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/) Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care, so please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested prior to submitting. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health and safety of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering, and microchipping before transporting our dogs. Then, we provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources, so if you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.
