Hi, my name is MAXWELL ID#A4103994. I am a male neutered, blue American Pit Bull Terrier, and I weigh about 83 pudgy lbs. I am about 5 years old, and I have been at the shelter since July 11, 2018. This big, sweet boy is going to be euthanized in the next couple of days if we do not find a home for him. Max was adopted about a year ago, but returned to the shelter on Feb. 26, 2020. He was surrendered by his adopters because they said they could not control him. He is severely overweight, and has had almost no dog training whatsoever. Max needs a strong hand, and a patient adopter who will give him the skills he needs to survive in a home environment. Simply adopting a dog, feeding it, and leaving it in the back yard won't work. Almost all dogs need at least some training - some more than others. Maxwell's recommendations: No small children in the home. No other pets in the home. YES....Training.
