Adoption pending 2 week trial ending on May 3rd. Back up application can still be submitted. He is a HOOT to be around! What a fun guy with a big head, and a big smile : ) He looks like the perfectly marked blue and white Pitt bull, but he is much bigger and taller, so the vet thinks maybe mixed with Great Dane due to his build. So he is smaller than a full blooded Dane, and larger than a Pitt....Only 14 months old and VERY trainable. Crate trained and house trained already, loves to play ball, tug, Frisbee,in the water, drinks from the hosepipe, loves the kiddie pool, toys, and treats! He also gets along with all the dogs here from 5 pounds up to 120 pounds. We saved him from certain death at a local county kill shelter just in the nick of time. He was owner surrendered and was mal-nourished upon intake. He has gained weight, and is a very healthy happy and grateful little boy. He must be fed while crated, but he will take treats while surrounded with others. He protects his food supply. He deserves a great family who allows him inside, but he loves to run and play outside during good weather with his tether ball. His ONLY thing we see is that HE MUST BE FEED SEPARATELY. He was starved as a puppy...and mayat times be somewhat food aggressive. I can fill his bowl with him beside me with no problem, he will let you take a toy from him, but if he thinks another pup wants his food....he is NOT happy about that. He will growl at the other dog walking by when he is eating.I do think he does need a dog companion for playtime unless you have some energy and time for him, and he will allow treats to be given to others while being one of the crowd, but a bowl of food...well he thinks it is ALL HIS. Understandably. He is tall, and the perfect weight of about 60-70 pounds now. Came in at 50lbs.....Comes with a new Soresto Collar good for the whole season attached. The first 2 weeks you have him you will be considered a foster. After 2 week trial period you either adopt or surrender back to us. We want to be sure the dog, and the humans are all going to be happy. I will always check in on this dog.
