About Lucky

Meet sweet Lucky, a one year old, 12 pound Chihuahua who was rescued from a high kill shelter! Lucky is such a sweet and lovable boy! The first day his foster got him he immediately came up to her wagging his tail and wanted to be in her lap. He loves to be with people and will follow his foster mom around, waiting for her to sit down so he can jump in her lap. Lucky does well with all the other dogs in his foster home; however he is a little intimidated by so many. There are some in the home that are dominant and he will back off and get a little scared if it's too much for him. He's a happy, calm boy and not your typical one year old pup! Lucky is very mellow and laid back. He does like to go outside for short periods of time, but would rather be inside with his person. Right now he really doesn't care about toys or playing with other dogs, but he's new to the home with a bunch of strange dogs and that may change as he settles in. He sleeps in his doggie bed with his blanket, but he would love to sleep with his person if given the opportunity! He has not had any accidents inside, but he is in a home where he gets to go out several times a day. He does ok on a leash and with a little practice we think he will love going for walks. He would not do well crated more than for a short period of time. He has not been cat or kid tested, but we think he would be fine with older kids. Lucky is up to date on shots, heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. He's a sweetheart and will make somebody a wonderful companion!
