About Roo

Roo is an almost 2 year old mixed breed with lots of energy and love to give. Roo's favorite things to do are snuggle, play outside and chase bubbles. Roo has had a rough go her first two years but is still the happiest bubbliest girl. When we first fostered Roo she was very fearful of people entering the house and was reactive. Due to Roo's reactivity issues, we sent her to a 5 week board and train camp with The Balanced Dog LLC where she was thoroughly trained on an e-collar and prong collar for walking. She is now much calmer, however her new owner must be willing to use the e-collar and work with Roo in her new environment. Roo's current owner is surrendering her due to having too many dogs and children in surrounding yards which overwhelms Roo. Roo would do best in a home with another dog that likes to play or as a single dog. She cannot be homed with children under 6. Roo loves to lay in your lap and even take naps on your chest. She sleeps under the covers with us but she is also crate trained and does not mind sleeping in it. We leave her out when we leave and she is always obedient. Roo knows many tricks such as sit, lay, stay, bed (go to her bed), calm down, and even pick which hand the treat is in. Roo will make the best companion for someone who is willing to accept her and work with her- she seriously is the most loyal companion. We are charging a rehoming fee to ensure she goes to the right home. Roo will come with her own bed, and toys plus flea and tick/ heart worm prevention for the remainder of the year.
