About Cody

NOTE: Rabies shot good until 2021, needs other boosters & general checkup. Cody is a loving, cuddly, loyal, protective dog. He came from a rescue shelter in Singapore when his owners were living overseas. We suspect he was abused as a puppy, because of his tendency towards excessive territory and resource- guarding behaviors and sometimes anxiety or fearfully-based reactions. He looks like a cute, innocent lab, BUT don't be fooled- his personality is GSD all the way- plus possibly other breeds we don't know about! He's smart and has a mind of his own, which needs to be guided by compassionate but knowledgeable obedience training. This is NOT a dog for beginner dog owners or families! He needs one adult he can form a bond with, who knows how to handle a GSD breed, and is willing to rehab him into the great dog we know he can be. He LOVES to run, walk on or off leash, and to be of service or to just play around and get lots of attention. He might make a good working or guard dog, or a companion for an experienced dog owner. He likes being around other dogs who are easy going, and is usually chill with them. He might have liked our cat, but she hates him, and so they have an edgy relationship. Re-homing due to not being able to give him the kind of care or guidance we know he needs.
