About Pompeii

'Hiya pal! Are you lookin' for a buddy? Your search ends here, or at least I hope it does because I know that I have all the makings to be the friend that you need. My name is Pompeii and I'm a 2 year old (or so) Coonhound that came to SVASC as a stray. I was running around in the woods for several weeks before coming to the shelter and it is taking me a bit to warm up, but I sure am making progress. I'm pretty shy, don't get me wrong, and I'm still getting used to being around people again, but I'm positive that I could really blossom in a home. I will need a quiet home that I can gain some confidence in. I would really do best in a home with another dog too. I feel much happier and safer when I'm around another dog. I would do best in a calmer home without a lot of commotion. I home without children younger than teenagers would be ideal. I'm so excited to find out what having a real family is like!
