About Lucia

This cute cattle dog mix is in need of a forever home. She was pulled from a kill shelter as a pup with her siblings only to be abandoned in a holding facility for over 3 years by the rescue who pulled her. The only real home she has ever known is a small pen with a concrete floor with almost no human interaction. She needs someone with a big heart and patience to help teach her how to be a pet. The first week at her foster home, she wouldn't come out of her crate. She has made great progress since then, doing a happy little wiggle dance when her foster mom comes out into the yard and now will even ask to be pet and have her belly rubbed! She still hasnt spent much time inside or walked on a leash but we really think she will get there. She is going to take a person of wisdom, patience and compassion, but we know there's a loving pet in there trying to come out! On th��e plus side, she's mellow, great with other dogs, fine with cats, and seems to have an affinity for children. She poops in the same section of the yard every time, so she's easy to clean up after! Are you the dog whisperer who can unlock the heart of this little golden bear?
