About Jax

Jax is a 2 year old male Cattle dog / Lab mix, about 55 pounds. Meet Jax! This sweet two year old has a happy, playful, cuddly personality! Jax loves to play fetch and runs it back and drops it at your feet so excited for you to throw it again. He loves to go on walks, and we are working on not pulling so much! Jax is sweet with kids but would do best with older kids (13+) and playful with other dogs. Jax would love to have an active family, but also loves to cuddle on the couch. Jax will just need a little training in manners. He gets so excited he jumps, but he is already starting to learn that's not the behavior that gets him treats and pets. Jax loves food and is very food motivated so training should be a breeze. He learns so fast! He saw me getting his dinner ready and just spun around and ran to his crate without being asked, and waited for his dinner ����. Jax is a great pup who loves to carry around shoes and towels but doesn't ruin them ����and can't wait to be adopted! Adoption contract and fee applies. Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. If you live within a five-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
