About Austin (west)

Hi, my name is AUSTIN - ID#A4380826. I am a neutered male, brindle and white Labrador Retriever/American Pit Bull Terrier mix, and I weigh about 59 lbs. The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 1 month old, and I have been at the shelter since Feb 13, 2020. Notes about Austin are scarce, but here are some from his file: 2/13/2020 INTAKE ASSESSMENT dog was very friendly and sought attention during intake, walked well on leash 2/16/2020 EVALUATION Affiliative with handler and allowed leashing. Entered catch pen excitedly. Entered yard fast and became easily aroused. Attempted to escalate, placed in side yard. 2/16/2020 OBSERVATION Readily approached and allowed to leash and take out of kennel easily. Walked to clinc on leash; reactive to some dogs on the way to clinic. 2/23/2020 EVALUATION Jumping on handler while out and erratic on leash. Entered yard neutral and began playing. Canine had social interactions throughout but could be slightly pushy in play and greetings. Canine jumped on lead and was easily aroused. This sweet boy just needs a firm hand.
