Always read entire post please. Hello! Gill,a presumed border collie pit mix- here, checking to see if my new home is looking for me. I am a 2-3 year old boy who weighs ~55lbs. I am a loyal companion and have lived with dogs before. I can be selective with which canines I get along with, but staff can help introduce me. I can get nervous, but I always look to my person for reassurance. I love to be loved and will crawl into your lap if you let me. I can be protective of my home, but have no problem with people coming in and out of my space--in fact, I love meeting people! If you are replying to a post on a rescue site- Please tell us about your family, activities, other animals and your expectations of your pet and what they can expect from you and the city in which you live. You are encouraged to make every effort to visit the shelter for a meet and greet. Staff available to assist. You can walk on the trails and interact in the play yards. Unless otherwise noted, we can not say if a dog does well with cats, livestock or chickens or with the dogs you may already have in your home or at dog parks. So please, if you have a dog, please arrange to bring for a meet and greet. Current vaccinations, spayed or neutered and micro chipped. Available at the Josephine County Animal Shelter 1420 Brookside Blvd. Grants Pass, across from the Grants Pass Airport. You are encouraged to call the shelter at 541 474-5458. When calling please press option 0. Hours open to the public 10 am - 4 pm every day except Sunday and posted holidays. Up to date on shots, spayed or neutered and micro chipped. Regular adoption fees are $145 for adult dogs under 7 years old. Seven and older are identified as seniors and are $50. In honoring our veterans, we offer half off regular adoption fee with presentation of Government issued VA ID.
