Hi! My name is Isabella! You can call me Izzy though. My mom is having a very stressful time with life and I'm such a sweet girl and deserve more than the love that she gives me. I love my human whole heartedly and do well with adults and older kids but I can get anxious around small children and need someone who understands that my breed is not to be babied. I get an attitude when you spoil me too much but gosh I do love those moments when you let me get away with stuff. Unfortunately because my owners from before my mommy rescued me scared me so badly, I used to pee when someone bent down to pet me. I've been doing much better with that now though! As long as you don't bend down too slow or too fast, I'm okay! I am not fully potty trained even though my mommy was told I was. Apparently I need to learn to let her know to go to the bathroom, but golly, I just sneak off and do it wherever you can't see me, if I can hold it long enough. You'll have to be super diligent about taking me outside unless you wanna keep up with my puppy pad training. Mommy says I'm getting really good at remembering to go before I have an accident! I have a tooth ache from eating a hard bone when mommy I first got me. She said she can't afford to get the shard removed from my gum that broke off and that's why she's being responsible and finding me someone who can take proper care of me. I love going outside and though I have a habit of wandering off, I am a good girl off leash with an attentive owner! I was in the process of becoming a service dog when my mommy realized that my anxiety around strangers wouldn't make me a good fit for the job. I still know lots of tricks and am learning not to bark when someone knocks on the door! I am always a good girl at night in the crate after a few whines. It's always to make sure my mom knows I want to sleep with her. But don't be fooled. I'll pee on you in my sleep. I don't realize it. So crates and no water in the evening is my mommy's current plan. Having free access to the backyard would be best for me when I am outside of my kennel. If I have too much space in my kennel, I tend to have accidents, so my mom gave me a cozy kennel that's perfect for me and not too small, so I feel safe. When left alone I tend to get into open trash containers and sample the cat litter box morsels and forget that pads exist. I just can't help myself since I can fit into most small openings for special litter boxes. Because of this, it would be best for me to go to a home that doesn't have any litter boxes, or a house that maintains litter boxes every few hours. I have an issue with overeating and a bit of food aggression with animals that my mommy has been working her hardest on. It is basically not an issue, except when it comes to other animals eating food that is the owners and not mine. I also eat any food lying around, so free feedings with other animals around is not possible. I'll eat until I make myself sick. And then I'll eat the sick. I love tennis balls but my mouth only fits the tiniest of balls available to my mommy. She had to look for a while for them and I broke the squeaky in them right after she got them for me. Destroying toys is a hobby when I'm bored. I tear apart and eat stuffing out of soft toys too but those are the only ones I like playing with other than balls. Those hard small ones that my mom got, I don't play with. When I get too excited I wheeze. Mommy isn't sure why I do it, but I've always been able to calm down. I love going outside and doing zombies in the grass. I love playing with other dogs too as long as they are mellow. Dogs who are high energy and too inquisitive at first can really bother me. My behavior is corrected as soon as I become offensive, but because of this, my mom would like it if we could meet any doggy brothers or sisters first. Don't worry about cats tho. Sometimes I think I'm one of them and try to play with the ones my mommy has. They don't ever want to play with me though. No matter how many spins I do for them. There's so much more about me that I don't even know about myself! I didn't even know how to be a dog before I came into my mommy's life! She had to teach me that tables aren't walking surfaces and screaming when I'm excited isn't okay. She had to teach me that peeing when I'm scared isn't okay, but I won't get hit for it or put in my kennel as punishment. I need someone who will be just as diligent and understanding so I can become the doggy that my mom believes that I can be! Are you my special owner?
