About Dixie

[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] Hi everyone, I'd like you to meet Dixie. She's an introverted chihuahua of about 9-10 years who once belonged to my mom. My mom passed away recently and I took her in, but unfortunately, she does not get along with my other two chihuahuas or my cat. She really needs to be in a single pet home without children. She's very standoffish when you first meet her and it will take her a while to warm up to you, but once she does she will enjoy spending hours sleeping in your lap, dancing when you bring her food, and will often squeak to get your attention. She was already two years old when my mom had adopted her. Though we don't know for sure, we believe she may have suffered some kind of abuse, possibly by a man as she is especially wary of men over women. She also has problems with incontinence and is on medication to help her control it. It pains me to let her go because I have grown extremely attached to her, but she keeps getting into fights with my other babies and it's too stressful for everyone. My other two chihuahuas are both 12 years old and Dixie frequently fights with my other girl in particular. I fear that if I cannot find a home for her soon I may have to make the painful decision to have her euthanized. I've been trying extremely hard to find a new, good, loving home for her, so please, contact me if you might be interested in taking her in. I will be including her winter sweater and enough of her medication to tide you over until you can get her set up with a nearby vet.
