About Franklin

HI! My name is Franklin! I am a 2 year old, neutered male German Shepherd Dog current on vaccines. I had a ruff start! I was found as a stray in California when i was about a year old. I was neutered, vaccinated and adopted. A year later, just before Christmas (2019), I was found tethered in a homeless camp with a severely embedded chain in my neck. Animal Control took me, I had surgery and took a month to recover but was an excellent patient and all the staff loved me! A rescue angel contacted my current foster mom who agreed to sent me on a road trip to Washington, where I am now! I now live with my foster friends including large and small dogs, a cat, chickens and a girl kid! Because I have likely spent most of my life living outside I have a couple strange behaviors and am still working on some house manners but my foster mom says I'm making progress! I do know some basic obedience including sit, down and shake & am working on my leash skills. I will do best with a family who has GSD experience and is willing to put in some extra work with me. I am definitely worth it and am so excited to meet my FUR-ever family! (Franklin will also require an Impact or Ruffland RTK crate) #CPRfosterFranklin
