About Shasta

Adoption Fee: $225
Catahoula / Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Meet Shasta Shasta is an absolutely gorgeous girl who could sure use a loving home. Shasta is a beauty with a gentle soul. She is an American Blue Heeler/Catahoula Leopard dog mix. She's 4 1/2 years old and has not had an easy life. She was picked on by other dogs in the family and was surrendered to us. Once she arrived to our shelter, we gave her lots of love and kindness. She's been searching for her forever home for a while now and we hope that we can find one for her soon. Shasta has many admirers in the community, but sadly no one in a position to adopt her. Shasta really loves being with people. She tries so hard to please. She learns quickly, follows directions easily and just laps up the attention of a good ear scratch or belly rub. The confines of a kennel frustrate Shasta. She loves being outside, she loves being with her people, she loves car rides and anything else that take her away from the shelter. She is easy to walk and could happily walk forever. She's curious and engaged with those around her. Shasta doesn't do well with other dogs or kitties will need to be in a home without them. Shasta is an affectionate, sweet, smart, calm and beautiful fur baby. She has wonderful manners. Once she trusts you, she will give you her whole heart. If you're looking for your lifelong companion, Shasta is one-of-a-kind. Gorgeous on the inside as well as out.
