About Rosie

Meet Rosie - aka Rose Bud, RoRo, Rosie Girl! Rosie is a sweet, young black lab mix (~30 lbs) who was rescued from a shelter near Fayetteville. It wasn't until she was shaved and on the table ready to be spayed that we realized she was expecting! Three weeks later out popped seven puppies! Rosie was such a good mom, so patient and gentle. The pups are all grown up, so now it's time for Rosie to find her forever home! It was obvious from the beginning that Rosie had never lived inside before or had people treat her kindly. When we first got her, she'd stay as far away from us as possible and tremble in the corner, but after LOTS of time together she is learning to trust people, to play with toys, chew bones and enjoy snuggling up in a warm cozy bed! She has come a LONG way, but still needs a special someone who will be patient with her, continue to show her that people are kind and life is good! Rosie will do best in a quiet home with a confident doggie friend to show her the ropes. She is great with older children, other dogs and even cats. Fenced yard required.
