Lab / Dachshund

Everyone, please meet Emmy! Emmy is 5 year old, 33 pound Labrador / Dachshund mix. She is up to date on her shots, has been spayed, but does have some special needs. She was rescued by Doggie Bonez and found her family about 2 1/2 years ago. Due to personal circumstances, she has returned to us. Her family would like to describe this beautiful dog to you. She has a lot of playful energy and is happy as long as she has her yellow ball that smells like chicken, a place to play fetch, and a cozy warm bed to curl up on, and lots of pets. She wakes us up every morning with kisses, ready to have breakfast and play. She makes us laugh everyday with her goofy playful nature. She is a very social dog. She loves rides in the car, sunbathing, playing fetch and just being around people, especially ones that rub her ears and chest. She is housebroken and has never had an accident in the house. She hates going out in the rain but loves the sunshine on her back. Emmy does like her daily routine - Wakes us up with little kisses, has breakfast and meds, goes potty outside and takes a nap until it's playtime. Plays fetch in the backyard and sometimes just sunbathes. After dinner and meds she goes potty and goes to sleep for the night - usually around 7PM and doesn't wake until the morning, except maybe to get a drink of water and switch beds. She loves to chase after squirrels, rabbits or any other furry animal that may be in the yard so must have a fenced yard. She needs to be in a quiet calm household as loud noises and too much motion scare her because of her past. Although she's never been around children we would be afraid they would hurt her back or neck by accident so it's probably best she is an adult only household. To find out more about Emmy and/or would like to welcome her into your family, please submit a completed adoption application found at www.doggiebonez.com so that we can schedule a meet and greet. She is also on all of our social media pages IG: @Doggie_Bonez_Inc_ and Facebook: Doggie Bonez. If adoption isn't an option, please consider fostering one of our pups. We are a volunteer run non-profit dog rescue and always welcome new short and/or long term doggie foster families. We greatly appreciate the help and time of our fosters. You provide all the love, comfort and safety of a home and we supply you with everything else you may need, dog food, dog bed, toys, medical attention (if needed) etc. If you are interested please visit www.doggiebonez.com to see all of our available dogs who need a foster family while waiting for their fur-ever home and complete the foster application.
