Adopted, then dumped at the shelter, adopted again and returned, Thanos is certainly no supervillain, he is just the opposite. He is a baby puppy, who came into the world dreaming of a family of his own who would love him forever, only to be bounced from place to place without ever being able to count on anyone or anything. In his short life he has never known stability, he's never had a comfortable routine he can count on, or a family who would dote on him and care for him and make him feel safe and loved.. He previously lived in a home with a yard and a cat and he was happy. He loved playing in the yard and sleeping on his bed. It's no surprise though, that having been shuffled about so many times, Thanos is nervous about the unfamiliar and needs a committed family who will give him a quiet, loving, safe haven where he can decompress. He asks for something so simple, it will be hard for you to believe - human kindness. He wants a family who doesn't walk out on him.
