About Jermiah

Jeremiah is available for adoption, he is currently being fostered in Bradenton, FL (Manatee County). Jeremiah is a senior Chihuahua, weighing about 6 lbs. He is a quiet fellow, and gets along with other dogs. We suspect he'll also be fine with cats. He seems to have a great temperament for a Chihuahua. He loves to be held, and sleeps in a huge dog bed complete with two other dogs! He also loves to be outdoors and lies in a bed out in the sun. He walks fair on leash but does pull a bit, not a big deal for a small doggie. He does not know any basic commands, and is a picky eater. We are trying to find what he likes. He doesn't mind being dressed in clothes. Overall, Jeremiah would make someone a great companion and lap dog. He is housebroken and while he does not like a crate he will go in one. Blankets are a must for him - he loves to burrow himself! He had no hair back when he was in the shelter and as it grew back, the hair came in white, hence the unusual coloring on his coat. If you are looking for a little companion - this would be your guy. He does alert to visitors (e.g. knocks on doors) so as little as he is, his presence is known! Jeremiah is neutered, up to date on vaccines and preventatives and heartworm negative.
