About Ginger

Adoption Fee: $95
Australian Cattle Dog mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Sweet young Ginger has had a rough start in life and needs a loving forever home! She was rescued from a gas station on the Navajo reservation. It appears she suffered one or multiple traumatic incidents as a puppy and has a shattered shoulder and an old injury on the opposing rear leg, making any kind of surgery to attempt to repair the damage difficult. At only 10 months old, she is a happy and playful dog. She can get around ok and would enjoy short walks and playing with other dogs but will need some extra care. She currently takes joint max and Galliprint for pain and inflammation and does real well. She rarely puts any weight on her left front foot but gets around great as handicapped dogs do and is fully capable of tiring out our other two fosters in playtime. She's bright, and wants to play all the time! She's fully house broken but not a fan of crates. She's still a puppy whose number one priority is play and like a little child she can get into trouble if she's not monitored. With some training and maturity, this smart sweetheart is sure to be a wonderful companion. Ginger is spayed and vaccinated. Due to her special needs status, she has a reduced adoption fee of $95.
