About Zelie

This petite princess is Zelie, a six pound Persian/Domestic Mix. Zelie is approximately ten and a half years old, spayed, up to date on her vaccinations and negative for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus. I first met Zelie in January of 2010, when she was just six months old. At the request of a breeder I took Zelie in to my rescue fold after the breeder threatened to have her euthanized because she was not a purebred Persian. Zelie's mom escaped the breeder's Cattery and became pregnant by a roaming Tom Cat and was therefore not a salable kitten for the breeder. Zels was adopted years ago, but unfortunately her adoptive mom's health became such that she was unable to take care of herself and Zelie so her family contacted me and Zelie is back with me. Although she is approaching eleven years old, Zelie is full of energy and can zip around as quickly as a kitten. While she enjoys playing with and batting toys around, Zelie is also a snuggler and will happily lounge in an available lap.
