About Spot

Spot is a timid 1.5 year old Dachshund/ Cattle Dog mix looking for his forever home. He weighs 28.6 pounds and seems to be about done growing. Spot is a very sweet boy but needs time and patience to warm up and get used to new people and environments. He has done well with men, women, and has lived with children as young as 6 years old. Spot needs patient humans that will go at his pace, so he may do best with older children that will respect his boundaries. Once he warms up, you would never guess just how affectionate and loving he is! Spot loves to get attention and give kisses to thank you and/or to get your attention. He has done well with other dogs his size but he can be possessive of his humans and may prefer to be the center of attention. Please bring any potential canine companions to meet with Spot prior to adoption. Spot is house broken (he may need reminders as he adjusts), and rides well in the car. He will need to be very secure when riding in the car or when his people are going in and out of doors. If spooked he will dart and keep running until he thinks he is safe. Spot will be a very loyal and affectionate boy for a family ready to love on a new family member. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped.
