About Jack

Jack is available for adoption or foster or foster-to-adopt. He is currently being fostered in St. Petersburg, FL (Pinellas County). Jack is 8 years old and about 27lbs though ideally he needs to lose a few and be around 23-25lbs. He's a small mix of some sort. Jack is sweet and loving, but can be nippy if he gets scared at first. He currently lives in a foster home with 3 other dogs and does absolutely fine. He will be fine in a house with other dogs but also absolutely fine as the only dog. He has no desire to play or cuddle with other dogs. He does not like it when dogs get in his face and will let it be know by snapping but he not a dominant dog. Jack has chronic bronchitis and needs ongoing medication and possible new style of treatment. He will need OVC medication for his joints too. His front right paw was previously broken before coming into rescue and he has limp that flares up. He will likely be best suited for an older person/couple with only dog or even 2nd dog that has his same demeanor, not anyone looking for companion dog for their current dog. He was definitely abused before he came into our rescue, so he can be scared or apprehensive at first.
