Gramps is a 3 year old shepherd mix who was rescued from a sanctuary in Bakersfield, CA after the owner passed away. He had lived there his entire life. Gramps walks well on a leash and lives up to his name 99% of the time. He is very leisurely, never really excited (except when he is) and he could go for a walk or a hike with you or he could just lay on the couch. Whatever you're into, he's into. Gramps has a high prey drive so he would not be suitable for a home with small animals. We'd also recommend any children in the home be teen and above due to some jumping up and mouthing behaviors (we're working on that!) Since he lived on the sanctuary his whole life, he needs some help with socialization. He is afraid of getting in the car and he doesn't like hard flooring. He has done well with all dogs we have introduced him to.
