About Smokey

Smokey is good with dogs of all sizes but would prefer to be with a female his size. He is fine with cats. He knows how to sit, stay and will lay down. His word to stop or wait for food is 'leave it'. He is such a lover and just wants to be loved on. He thinks he is a lap dog and will completely roll over to get belly rubs. He is not much of a barker but he will 'sing'. He loves to try to howl at sirens in the distance and will alert you to anyone or anything around his house or yard. He has never been aggressive towards another animal or person. Smokey was injured, so while we sent him to the vet we had an Xray done and the vet felt that corrective surgery can be done so we plan to help him be able to us his leg more. He runs and is perfectly fine with using it but at times he does favorite it some. He would have to go to a home that would keep him as an inside dog with outside time within a fenced in yard or area. We definitely don't want that to ever happen to him again. Smokey is a sweetheart and deserves a home that will spoil him rotten! He will be ready to go to a home after his surgery and his treatment will go with him.
