About Matilda

Matilda needs new home. I adopted Matilda from Atlanta Pet Rescue on 8/11/2013. (They are no longer in business) She is 9 years old and we live in Atlanta, GA. She was neutered on 3/7/2013 and is up to date on all shots. She is very smart, knowing all the 7 basic commands and more. She is very alpha female and (in her opinion) can't be petted too much. She is very food motivated and doesn't like for anything to come between her and food. Since I adopted another dog she has bitten me four times and that has only been on the fingers. At each time, there has been no provocation that I can identify. I now have 7 young great nieces and am afraid she might bite one of them or anyone else. I feel that she needs to be in a one dog home with someone that is experienced with behavior issues. She also needs lots of exercise. She likes to pretend that she's herding sheep or something similar She has never bitten another dog but was bitten by another dog at a dog park and then by a dog I was dog sitting. I don't feel that I will be able to decipher the discipline and or corrections she needs for success
