About RHEA

'RHEA' is a beautiful, 2 yr old, 50-55 lb. Border Collie/Lab mix female we rescued from a high kill pound, along with her daughter ('MeMe') and son ('JR'). Rhea is black, white and grey (her 'dappling' on chest, legs, paws are grey speckles). Rhea is a calm, reserved girl, though initially may be a bit shy. Once she warms up and trusts, she loves to be hugged and snuggle. Rhea is not a demonstratively affectionate dog, but let's you know she is happy to see you & be around you by wagging her tail and sometimes giving out low, happy 'whines'. Rhea just likes to be around you, and would make a great companion for a calm, older household. Rhea has not been cat-tested. Rhea has been spayed, de-wormed, is current on vaccinations, on monthly heart worm preventative, crate-trained and house-trained. This rescue does not administer it's own vaccination shots. All of our rescued dogs' medical care has been administered by a licensed Veterinarian. All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., pro-biotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition.
