About Maybelle

Due to relocation, this pretty girl is in need of a home. Unfortunately, she was abused and seems to be afraid of men. She has, over time, warmed to my husband while in our care. She was bred to be a hunting dog so she loves the woods and chasing things. So much so that she overcomes obstacles, such as a chain link fence, to satisfy her animal nature. I found that she assimilates into home society better when there are other dogs to play with and she seems to watch them to know what is 'ok' behavior from the humans. I have 5 of my own and a cat and she has done well with them all. Maybelle does not like children's motorized riding toys. She has come a long way from when my son got her from the shelter, and I do not want to have to surrender her. My time is short as I only have until the end of March. Please consider making her a part of your family. She deserves to have that furever home!
