About Melonie

Meet Melonie, our spokes-dog! There is a reason she is-everyone loves her, it's impossible not to. She has the greatest personality, and has quite a story to tell. Melonie was at Pinal Shelter for a lengthy time, let's face it-black dogs are the ones that always get overlooked. Hard Luck Hounds pulled her, and we have helped them take over some of their dogs so they could focus on the behavioral dogs in their care. Yeah, this sweet baby has scars, and we will never know what they are from, but she has stories to tell you! And, we know one thing, she isn't holding a grudge to whoever hurt her. She is an absolute gem that loves everyone and everything. Melonie was treated for dozens of ticks that were pulled off of her. Some of her fur will heal, but most of her scars are and will be, part of her adorable character! She is crate trained, playful, affectionate and a total snuggle buddy! Melonie is housetrained and crate trained, too! She covers herself up when she cuddles up in bed next to you! THE CUTEST THING, EVER!
