About Ripkin

Adoption Fee: $175
Bloodhound
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

I ain't nothin but a hound dog! Yeah, you know you sang the rest of the lyric. Catchy huh? I'm told there are hound lovers around these parts and that my home is waiting. I've been in and out of the shelter and it's high time that ended and I had some stability. All of the instability in my life has made me pretty nervous and anxious. Someone take a chance on a droopy dude like me. ------'%90----------------------------------- Intake Date: 22 Feb 2020 ----- Age: dob 1/22/2020 ----- Breed: bloodhound ----- Size: 85 lbs ------ Status: shelter transfer ------ Compatible with: large dogs. Will test cats, etc ----- Suitable for: home with fenced yard ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: shelter stressed. Destructive and extremely cage reactive at shelter. Will see how he will decompress. Reactive when stressed. Hounds are prone to ear infections, must keep ears clean. ----- Additional Notes: We will get to know Ripkin after he settles but he comes to rescue with a failed report card. We are told he is a friendly guy but any time too long in a shelter can cause behavior issues. He is untrained so that doesn't help. So far, even though he has only been with us 2 days, we are labeling him as fear aggressive. He has been impossible to touch and very difficult to handle. He would need a very experienced home, no children at all. ------------------------------------------ If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption can be finalized at that time. FBS standard adoption fee is $175. All canines are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed. A securely fenced yard is required. Housetraining is not guaranteed.
