About Baikal

Check out this loving 2 year old boy, Baikal! His unique name comes from a large famous lake in Russia (and, yes, you guessed it, that's where he is from) Baikal was living at home, but his owner was not taking care of him at all. He was often left alone in a house for days. When the volunteers brought him to his new foster home he was cautious at first, but quickly started coming up to people and trusting again. Baikal has been living in a foster home for the past 5 months and has showed everyone his kind and happy personality! He is curious and wants to know everything that's going on around him. He may try to dig up some hidden treasures from your yard! Baikal is very attentive to people and even though he did not get a chance to have formal obedience classes, we believe that he would be a fast learner. He likes to wake up early and has a healthy appetite. Loves to lead his doggie friends in play and likes to play-chase cats too (if they let him). Baikal needs a little help in leash behavior and may have an occasional accident at home, but with a little patience and some nice treats, these things can be resolved. He is a medium level of activity kind of dog, so two walks a day and some yard time would be great! Baikal is healthy, vaccinated and neutered. He is 66 lbs 24' tall at the top of the shoulders.
