Hi, my name is WINNIE - ID#A4366689. I am a spayed female, brown and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix, and I weigh about 54 lbs. The shelter staff think I am about 4 years old, and I have been at the shelter since Jan 11, 2020. Oh so beautiful Winnie the Pooh with the cute pink nose! I love her coloring! She is so beautiful. Winnie is shy and anxious in her kennel and at the shelter. She takes a few minutes to warm up, but if you give her a chance, she will be the most loyal loving companion. She loves treats and walks well on a leash. Other dogs make her nervous so she may be best as an only pup. Due to her nervous and timid behavior at shelter, we recommend no young kids under 10. Here are some notes from volunteers who recently spent time with Winnie: 2/10/2020 OBSERVATION Able to leash Winnie from the front of the kennel after presenting one treat. Once the treat is given, Winnie has been easy to leash, walks well on-leash, and allows petting without backing away. She is an easy kennel return. She walks into her kennel, lies down on her bed, and allows me to remove her leash. Winnie appears to become anxious when dogs are barking loudly in the D-wing. 2/13/2020 ENRICHMENT Walks well on a leash and is not reactive around other dogs. She is mellow, calm and timid. She likes soft treats, takes them gently and knows sit. She has low energy and is not interested in toys. 2/20/2020 OBSERVATION Visited kennel multiple times today. Came to kennel door; soft wiggly body and took treats. Seems that the treat bucket is helping condition Winnie to not bark continuously when someone approached kennel. Please consider sweet little Winnie for your next furry family member. Winnie is at risk for euthanasia. 'URGENT' - If you have no breed restrictions, please call ASAP 520-800-4633.
