About Chappy

Meet Chappy. Our staff has gotten to know Chappy well over the last few months as she has been a frequent customer of our daycare. Unfortunately due to personal issues her family was no longer able to keep Chappy so they made sure she landed in a safe place with us. Chappy is a little over a year old and a terrier/lab mix of some sort. She is a rockstar in our dog park daily. She Absolutely loves other dogs and does well with all sizes. Chappy can be nervous when meeting new people, but if you give her some time she usually warms up nicely. She definitely warms up quicker to women then she does men, so it's recommended she live in a home either with no men or with a man willing to give her the time and patients she needs to warm up. Though chappy has done well with some children in her past, because of her nervousness we recommend a home with children over the age of 12 or no children. We also recommend chappy go to a home with another dog as she gains confidence and is less nervous when her canine friends are around. Chappy is crate and house trained but as with all our dogs we always suggest a refresher course is needed. We briefly cat tested Chappy and she did very well. As always we suggest slow intros to set all fury family members up for success.
