About Peanut

HI Y'ALL! My name's Peanut, and I am an 11 mo old chiweenie, fudgy-colored, with matching eyes. My ears stand at attention so I can hear your sweet words to me. Though I'm a little shy at first, if you sit quietly and don't pay me too much attention at first, I'll jump into your lap, then you can carry me. I potty outside, unless you forget to take me out! All the dogs I've made friends with- from puppers smaller than me, to 2 very big German Shepherds- think I'm a ton of fun to play with. I can play all day long, and would really prefer a friend with energy to help me burn it off. I hope you will forgive me if I chew up a few of your things... I'm still very young and will need to be redirected to things you want me to chew on. My foster mom crates me when she leaves, and also when she's in the shower. She tells me it's safer for me that way. She smears a little peanut butter into a big bone (no rawhides), and I just lick it until she's out of the shower. Sometimes I cry for a minute when she crates me and leaves, but I settle quickly. Foster mom calls it 'sneakers on a gym floor.' I don't know what that means, but I'm sure it's melodic! I am an award-winning snuggle bunny. I like to burrow under the electric blanket and cuddle with foster mom & the other dogs. I don't come up for air all night, which means I hold in my potty until morning, but you better get me right outside! It doesn't take me too long to adjust. If we start a routine, I'll easily fall in line. I just want to make you happy.
