About Samantha

Adoption Fee: $20
Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Samantha is the momma cat to four kittens (Salem, Hilda, Tabitha and Zelda) that we rescued from a light industrial park back in October. She is a sweetheart! She allows you to pet her lightly around her neck, but no picking up. She purrs when given neck rubs and treats. She is not as playful as her children but a very content kitty. I think she appreciates not living outside anymore and appreciates the warmth and comfort of the last few months. She would make a nice house cat with someone who would be very patient with her and has a quiet/calm environment. Her daughter Tabitha is VERY bonded to her momma. If possible it would be great to get Tabitha adopted with one of her female siblings or with Samantha. Samantha and her kids are all litter box trained. While playful, they only use their scratching post for their claws. Covid 19 Upadate: Since working from home since 3-15-202 I set up my office in the bedroom where the cats hang out. They have all made progress in getting more comfortable around people. We have also started to integrate them into the household allowing them to roam the house freely with our 15 year old cat and 10 year old 80 lb dog. They are learning to co-habitate. Samantha has also become the most 'affectionalte' of the cats. While I am working she will come and sit in the cat bed that is less than a foot away to sleep and to get away from Salem. She tolerates a good neck scratch, but only if you are sitting. She does not like having anyone lean over her. She loves sitting in the window and watching the birds.
