About Little Bear

Bernese Mountain Dog
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

This animal is available to licensed rescue groups only. Please do not enquire unless with a licensed rescue group. Little Bear is a loving, playful, gentle giant at 88#. He is a AKC registered purebred. He was raised with an older 'big brother' berner, and several cats. He gets along with everyone, including small children. He let's my grandson climb all over him. He is crate trained, obeys basic commands, but is high energy and often over exuberant, but not aggressive. Since losing our other Berner to cancer, Bear has been suffering from extreme separation anxiety when left alone for any period of time. He has not had any health issues, except for chewing hot spots when alone due to his anxiety. He is on an antianxiety medication, but I need to rehome him to a loving home that has people at home and other dogs for companionship. He isn't coping with his big brother being gone, everyone in our house working full time, and I'm not able to get another dog. I need to rehome him as soon as possible.
