TO BE KILLED 2/22/20 JUST A 9 MONTH OLD PUPPY! SCARED AND ALONE AND NOW AT RISK! Shy, at first, with people, Ghost then becomes affectionate and friendly once he knows you. He plays well with other dogs, but feels so lost and scared at the shelter. THIS IS A GOOD SWEET BOY! Owner described Ghost as being friendly, affectionate and shy. He likes to play with balls, and squeaky toys and fetch, tug, and chase are his favorite ways to spend time.. His favorite treats are bone chew treats. Ghost is just an innocent puppy that has only known the world of his family. He needs a hero to show him that everything will be ok, that there is happiness to be had and a life to live. Counselor noticed Ghost sniffed all the counselors and would occasionally come to lick the counselors hand. When counselor would reach out to pet Ghost he would lower his head and step back. Ghost was head shy when counselor was placing a leash over his head and counselor allowed the owner to place a collar on ghost and hold him for a photo. Date of Intake: 1/29/2020 Spay/Neuter Status: Not Applicable Basic Information:: Ghost is a 9 month old large mixed breed that was surrendered by his owner due to his landlord not allowing him to keep him. Previously lived with:: 2 adults How is this dog around strangers?: Owner stated that he is shy for a few minutes upon approach but after some time he is friendly and outgoing. Owner stated that he plays gently with adults. How is this dog around children?: Owner stated that he has not been around children. How is this dog around other dogs?: Owner stated that he has spent time around other dogs and he is relaxed and playful with them. Owner stated that he plays gently with other dogs. How is this dog around cats?: Owner stated that he has not been around cats. Resource guarding:: Owner stated that he is not bothered when someone tries to take away his food, treats, or toys. Owner stated that he would bark when someone unfamiliar approaches the owner or the home. Bite history:: Owner did not mention any bite history Housetrained:: Yes Energy level/descriptors:: High Other Notes:: Owner stated that during storms and fireworks he becomes nervous. Owner stated that he is not bothered with being held/restrained, being given a bath, being brushed, and having his nails trimmed. Owner stated that when the owner is at home he would follow him around and he likes to play with balls, and squeaky toys. Owner stated that he likes to play fetch, tug, and chase. Owner stated that he is mostly kept indoors unless hes going for a walk. Owner stated that he is fed about 1 bowl of Purina Dry food. Owner stated that his favorite treats are bone chew treats. Owner stated that he usually goes potty on grassy and gravel/dirt areas. Owner stated that when left alone in the house, he would bark/whine and he has been crate trained but doesn't like it . Knows sit , down , and no . Please save this little pup , he is just very nervous because he knows he is in a death trap and not acting himself . At home he was a very good dog , he is petrified !
