About Buster

Buster ...lover of humans, stealer of kisses, king of quirk, & a soul deeper than most. Buster is a very special dog with a huge heart & the most soulful eyes. He craves nothing but love & attention. He needs someone that will show him what a REAL family does for their family members! He needs someone to look beyond his physical imperfections and love him unconditionally. All dogs deserve this and certainly Buster does too. He has lived through unspeakable abuse and cruelty and now he's finally ready to start the next chapter of his life. Buster is an absolutely PRECIOUS fawn English Mastiff. He loves people with all of his heart and craves love and attention. Due to his previous lifestyle and potentially poor genetics, Buster has some physical limitations. Buster lived the first few years of his life alone and tied to a tree with no shelter. He never received proper care or nutrition and he was infested with fleas. Animal control received a call about a 'dead dog' tied to a tree and they rescued him. He was not dead! He was saved in time! Buster is fine with older kids, but because of his physical limitations, he should not be in a home with small children. Buster is also not a fan of small dogs or cats. Large dogs would be ok with very slow and proper introductions and lots of patience. So either an only dog home or a home with another dog who is calm & respectful of Buster's space. Buster is thin, however he has elbow and hip issues that are worse with more weight on him. Buster has seen multiple veterinarians and specialists and he is not in pain. When he came to us, he was extremely malnourished and weak. He has come so far and even still shows improvements constantly. Buster is completely crate trained-quiet and accident free in his crate. Buster is sweet and happy and low energy. Buster is neutered & UTD on vaccinations & preventatives. He is currently in a foster home in the Nashville Tennessee area.
