About Scout

Scout is a sweet, 28 month old pure bred American Akita. We recently acquired her from a loving family that had raised her from a puppy. They had a baby and were concerned that Scout was not getting the attention she needed. Akitas are dominant, assertive dogs who definitely benefit from continued training and attentive structure. They do not typically do well in homes with small children or additional pets. Her new family will need to be without either of these. Scout is fully up to date with her vaccinations and rabies and she is microchipped. She is on a grain-free diet and we will include her current food, fish oil liquid to add to her food as well as her toys, leashes, collars and crate. We do have her original adoption paperwork listing her pedigree and family history.
