Sammy was found covered in mud in a meadow in late January. His body temperature was critically low and he was unable to stand up by himself. He was rushed to an ER and then released to our care. He is in a wonderful foster home and has already gained a bit of weight with frequent small feedings. His spirit is much brighter now and his tail wags constantly. He loves everyone he meets and loves his furry foster sister too. What a love bug after all that he has had to endure! Once he has gained some more weight he can be neutered and will then be ready for adoption. Sammy is super friendly with everyone he meets. He was found at the end of January severely emaciated in a meadow unable to even stand up. Since being in foster care he has gained weight and is finally able to show his playful side. He is doing wonderful with his foster sister Sass. He knows sit, bedtime and kennel time. Sammy walks well on a leash and has almost mastered the dog door in his foster home. Sammy shows no aggression at all despite the poor treatment he faced in the past and is very treat motivated- he takes them so gently. He is a lap dog that does not know personal space at all and loves to give kisses and snuggles.
