About PINTO

Pinto is an 8 year old Rat Terrier mix. This little black and white cutie weighs in at around 10 lbs. and is just full of love and life. He is calm and relaxed and loves attention. Pinto is a little apprehensive of large dogs, he tends to shy away from them. Even with smaller dogs, Pinto is very submissive and will walk away from any confrontation. He is partially house trained and ONLY with a doggie door. Pinto can be crated and, though it is not his favorite thing, he will remain quiet. He currently eats in his crate and we are working on him just walking in instead of being put in. Pinto walks pretty nicely on a leash, though does sometimes stop. He behaves well in the outside world and is not a barker. He loves to wander around outside and take in all the wonderful smells of the great outdoors. Pinto has also co-existed with cats. Pinto's preference is to sleep in bed with his humans; if he can't do that he likes lying in a basket that is up off the ground. If you can't seem to find Pinto in the house, just check out any laundry baskets you may have around, chances are he is snuggled in warmly, especially if it's dirty clothes. Pinto likes to lay on his perch and watch the world go by. Pinto would make a great addition to any household. He does not need a companion if he has enough time with his family. He recently had a dental cleaning and got a clean bill of health!
