Chance is 2 y.o. maltese mix, non-shedding. He was rescued from puppy mill breeding situation. He was terrified of humans when we got him and it took him a while to warm up finally. Chance loves 2 adults in his foster home and allow them to pick him up and carry him around, he loves belly rubs from them. He is not a fan of kids and still barks at them. He loves his friend Casper (also listed for adoption), loves all female dogs and respects large size male dog in foster home. He doesn't like active male puppy messing with him so we feel he would do the best in mature quiet household with another friendly adult female dog. Absolutely no apartments. He is doggy door trained and does really well with almost no accidents. He is healthy, neutered, chipped and up to date on shots. Had a professional grooming, but groomer has to work with him very slow. Ideal home will be with someone who is experienced in puppy mill dog rehabilitation. He is not a family dog for everyone, not a dog for the beginners. In the right home with correct approach he will thrive but it will take time and lots of patience.
