About Primo

1 year old male Jack Russel Terrier mix, about 14 pounds. Primo has a precious pink nose and squinty right eye: he and his siblings are albino. While his right eye is a bit small and he can see out of it partially, his left eye sees perfectly and is the most beautiful blue color. He loves to snuggle and his favorite hobby is to be right by your side at all times. Because of this, he does have a tendency to trip a person if they are not careful. His fosters have almost fallen a few times when he has gotten caught up in their feet. Primo is sweet and shy at first, but once he trusts his human, he becomes rambunctious like other young pups, especially Jack mixes. He would love a family who can give him lots of attention, exercise, and love and support. But above all he needs patience. While he knows some commands like sit, lay down, and come, he is not consistent in obeying. His excitement and skittishness usually gets in the way. But with time and practice, he will get there. He is also learning to potty train, but is not yet there at all times. His owner needs to be intentional in helping him learn how to signal when he needs to potty and taking him outside to do so. Having another puppy model might help him, but he would most likely also enjoy being a single dog. He is good with other dogs; we are not sure how he does with cats. ��%BCSuspicions are that chase cats might be a fun game! We have not noticed any signs of aggression toward humans, but we have not tested him with children. ��%BCBig dogs, however, are a bit scary and he likes to bite their ankles! He is crate trained, but would much prefer to sleep in your bed with you. He is a good little sleeper. All in all, Primo would love an owner to cherish. There are few dogs as sweet as he is. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters.
