Please know that we will ask for a vet reference. Name: Roxy Age: 10 years Breed: Mastiff Sex: Female (confirmed spayed) Location: Palmdale, CA Vet Info: Roxy is confirmed spayed. She was due for all vaccines in August, 2019, and has not had a heartworm test. She weighs about 120 pounds. Roxy has cataracts, and her owners think she is completely blind. Owner Info: Roxy is a gorgeous girl in need of a new home. Her owners tell us Roxy was originally their son's dog, but he moved into a small apartment and wasn't able to take her. They have had Roxy for the past 6 years, but they will be moving out of state and into a motorhome, and they cannot take her. Their move is still about a year away, but they want to be sure Roxy is taken care of before their move. Roxy is an outdoor dog with a fenced yard. She is housebroken and leash trained. She is described as outgoing and friendly, and is good with men and women, but needs a home without small children. Roxy is good with male dogs, but she has fought in the past with her owners' female dog. Her owner writes that they fought when one went into heat. Roxy can be possessive of toys, treats, or food, and once, she and her owners' other dog cornered and killed a stray cat in their yard. Roxy's owners feel she adapts well to new situations and write, 'Yes, she is careful when walking around. We have had yard work done and she seems to get around within a few minutes after investigating the changes.' Other than her vision, her owners tell us she is in good health. Her owners are very much hoping she can find a loving new home! 'I just want Roxy to be able to live out her life with a big yard at a good home. I feel terrible we won't be able to continue to provide for her, and that is why I am looking for a good placement early to ensure she is taken care of.' **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
