About Princess Leia

Meet Princess Leia. She is about 8 years old and currently weighs around 8.5 lbs. Princess Leia found herself without a home when her elderly owner has to go to assisted living. We are working on getting some weight off her and feel her ideal weight should be closer to 6.5 - 7 lbs. she is a sweet girl, but needs work on accepting handling- like being picked up or putting anything on her- like collars or harnesses. She is looking for a patient owner who will take the time allow her to build her trust and confidence on her own terms. Princess Leia seems to be used to being a lap dog and the center of attention. She would prefer to be an only dog or with a dog that would co-exist with her/ give her her space. Princess Leia's adoption donation of $250 helps pay for her care. Application, reference checks, and home visit required. Adopters must live 1.5 hours driving distance from Romeoville, IL. For more information on adopting, please email us at [email protected].
