About Lexi

Lexi is a Cattle Dog mix. She is spirited and playful. She loves running in open spaces, playing fetch, and playing with dogs, kids, cats, and people. She prefers to be the Alpha in playgroups- and when all dogs respect her status in the pack, she is happy as can be. Lexi is happiest in a home with clear boundaries, solid routine, plenty of space and time for exercise, and with humans who can create structure for her. Lexi prefers to have a defined job in the house. When she doesn't have tasks, she creates them for herself (such as escorting each family member to the bathroom, waiting by the door, and then escorting them back to whatever they were doing before). She is nicknamed 'the supervisor' because she likes to have tabs on everyone she loves- roaming the house to check in on everyone one by one and make sure her people are ok. Lexi has a clear sense of humor that sometimes makes her seem more human than dog. Lexi also has a strong protective instinct.
