About Neal

Neal is in the process of being adopted at this time. Meet Neal, yep those are some gorgeous blue eyes. Can't argue with that! Neal found himself at a high kill shelter in TN. We pulled him and found out he is heart worm positive. We are currently looking for a 'Foster to Adopt' family for Neal between Nashville and Knoxville Tennessee. A foster to adopt means that you will foster Neal through his heart worm treatment (at no additional cost to you). He is scheduled for his heart worm treatment at the end of February. Then he will need crate rest for about 30-45 days post treatment. That means limited activity and walking on a leash to go potty for that period of time. Once he is done that treatment period, the official adoption contact would be signed. He will need to stay on the appropriate monthly prevention going forward. He will live with you and be a part of your family and at the end of treatment if you are still interested you will be able to adopt him. Neal is already neutered and up to date on vaccines. He is a people's dog, he loves people, not so interested in other dogs, but would be fine with one in the home if it was not in his face all the time, maybe an older dog would be preferred in this scenario. As long as he has his people he will be happy! He is about 8 months old currently (so sad to be heart worm positive at such a young age). We believe he is a husky/terrier mix maybe. He will still get a big bigger and right now is about 30 lbs. A physically fenced yard will be required for his placement due to these possible breed mixes.
