About Franklin

We love this one year old guy! Franklin came to the Shelter as a stray and has won the heart of the volunteers. He has a great personality - playful, smart and silly. Franklin's snow-white coat has fabulous large black spots to compliment his thoughtful eyebrow. He really enjoys being outside and would make an excellent adventure/walking/hiking buddy. He knows his basic commands and walks well on leash. Franklin likes to play fetch in the yard just enough to give you a little exercise��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD%BD'��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD%BD|then he'd prefer lounging in the sun or the pool. He would need to meet any furry family members and will need a fully fenced yard. Franklin passed his cat test at the shelter this week! Call the Clatsop County Animal Shelter in Warrenton, Oregon (outside of Astoria) at 503-861-7387 to schedule a time to meet Franklin. If you live outside of Clatsop County, you'll need to bring photos of your home. All family members (humans and dogs) need to meet our dogs at the shelter. UPDATE: The shelter has established procedures to minimize everyone's exposure to the COVID-19 virus. If you'd like to visit with Franklin, you will need to call and make an appointment at 503-861-7387; if the line is busy you can leave a message and the staff will call you back. The shelter will be taking appointments from 11:00 to 4:00 Tuesday through Saturday. You will be asked several health-related questions before you are allowed in.
